- Have Someone in Charge of Kids with Games and Activities Prepared - Sometimes there will be a special room set aside for the kids to play and maybe even having a movie playing. The key to success with tip is to have a person dedicated to caring for the little ones. This will minimize stress for you and for parents so everyone can enjoy your ceremony and reception.
- Have a Children's Menu with Kid Friendly Foods - Kids like food they recognize. Try chicken strips, sandwiches cut into triangles or cut into shapes with cookie cutters, pre-cut fruit, go-gurt, fruit snacks, cupcakes, etc. Your Boise caterer can help with this!
- Have snacks for the kids available throughout the evening. This is CRITICAL. Kids usually eat more frequently than adults and having snacks can help the children stay happy all evening.
- Have the Kid's Dinner Table Covered with Paper so they can color and draw while they are waiting for their meal and afterward throughout the evening. You could even provide children with coloring books/crayons of their own or printed color sheets.
- Teddy Bear Toss or Special Dance for the Kids - at a couple of our Boise weddings this summer we had brides do a special dance with the kids and then toss a teddy bear or other stuffed animal for the kids to catch. They also had other smaller toys/treats for ALL of the children so no one felt left out. This was so fun for all the kids and was a huge success.
